A Registered Nurse, Educator, and Social Justice Advocate
Daria Adèle Juüdi-Hope is a Registered Nurse, Educator, and Social Justice Advocate. She holds a master’s degree in Public Health from Queen’s University. She has practiced in diverse areas including forensics, mental health, and community health nursing. Her teaching experience includes: Clinical Instructor and Supervisor (Faculty of Health Sciences-Queen’s University) and Professor (Community and Justice Services-St. Lawrence College). Driven by a passion for health equity and social justice, she spent the last eight years working as a nurse in remote fly-in-only Indigenous communities in Northern Canada.

With over a decade of experience as a Registered Nurse, Daria has dedicated her career to healthcare, both domestically and abroad. Beyond her healthcare background, she is heavily involved in community initiatives, such as Health Providers Against Poverty, the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario union, and committees at Queen’s University. Her actions and involvement reflect her commitment to social justice and community service.
Daria is an avid advocate for better public health policies to recognize and combat health inequities, in Indigenous and marginalized groups. She advocates for individuals and lobbies governments for better access to healthcare including improved treatment of marginalized populations by healthcare providers. Daria’s extensive volunteering includes: Volunteer Nurse in rural parts of Uganda and Kenya; Chair of Kingston’s Health Providers Against Poverty; Board Member at Ryandale (Kingston); Co-chair of the Black Nurses Leading Change Interest Group (RNAO); University Councillor at Queen’s University; and President of the Kingston Chapter of the RNAO.

Daria is the person we need to serve as MP for Kingston and the Islands. Her deep commitment and knowledge of her community is the voice we need to hear in Ottawa about the very real issues facing Canadians – a voice on health care, affordability, housing – all pressing issues facing us.

Daria is the candidate Kingston and the Islands needs right now. As a first-generation Canadian, she has seen firsthand how powerful hope is.

I am excited by Daria’s vision for a better future and her desire to work tirelessly to create positive change in our communities.
